Skills & Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited school of occupational therapy or occupational therapy assistant program

  • Valid occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant license granted by the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners

  • Minimum of 1 year experience

  • Good communication skills and ability to relate professionally and positively to patients, patients’ family members, and staff

  • Must be capable of performing the responsibilities of this positions with or without accommodations

  • Pediatric experience

Responsibilities

Occupational Therapists:

  • Screen, evaluate and provide direct and indirect treatments in home or school setting

  • Utilize appropriate assessment tools to complete a comprehensive evaluation

  • Develop an appropriate treatment plan and establish individual measurable goals

  • Communicate evaluation findings and treatment plan to caregivers and other team members

  • Provide direct treatment to pediatric clients ages 0-18

Occupational Therapy Assistants:

  • Provide direct and indirect treatments in home or school setting

  • Communicate treatment plan to caregivers and other team members

  • Provide direct treatment to pediatric clients ages 0-18
